Founder Profile

LeAnn M. Nickelsen founded Maximize Learning with a passion for advancing education.  She is the author/co-author of 10 books and delivers presentations nationally on: Differentiaon, Common Core State Standards, Student Engagement, Poverty, Brain Research, Assessment & Grading, Literacy and many more - all based on cognitive theory, best practices, and current research.  She is known for presenting a wealth of information in an active, fun format with very specific, practical examples. Participants consistently rate LeAnn's presentations as top quality based on her engaging style and the easy-to-implement classroom strategies.  Participants walk out with many ideas for maximizing learning for all students!

 

LeAnn believes significant improvement is possible in education - the research, tools, and passion exist, and her vision for Maximize Learning is to be on the leading edge of transforming the quality of education in the USA and beyond.

 

She is a parent of school-age twins and applies the research to the hardest jobs out there, parenting and teaching.
